Join lululemon La Jolla in partnership with the iam Physical Therapy as we support OG Yoga in a yoga series that will ground our community in relationship and connection. These slow flow and restorative classes during the Summer sunset will create memories that will support an amazing cause.
Proceeds from this summer series will support OG Yoga, a San Diego based, fiscally sponsored project of Mission Edge 501(c)(3) that brings yoga to underserved communities.
OG Yoga Mission: Our mission is “to deliver trauma informed mindfulness based yoga through partnerships with non-profit organizations serving marginalized individuals to support healing, resilience, self-development and positive social change.”
Vision: To make yoga available through the systems serving those in need to transform lives, increase successful outcomes and build healthier communities.
OG Yoga Model: Restorative, mindful and meditative eightfold yoga practice dealing with physical, moral, mental and spiritual well-being, flexibility, strength, balance, relaxation, connection, peace and self-knowledge. Yoga Alliance certified instructors with at least 200 hours of teaching experience. Specialized training in trauma-informed programming for youth, seniors and adults facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, addiction, behavioral challenges, incarceration and reentry. Strategic Alliance with Prison Yoga Project. Member of the Yoga Service Council, a 5013 formed in 2009 in collaboration with the Omega Institute, to maximize the effectiveness, sustainability, and impact of organizations like OG Yoga working to make yoga and mindfulness equally accessible to all.

What: Relax and Unwind soaking up the saltwater and sunshine with Nina Petruzzo ERYT 500 and Jenna Zabrosky ERYT 200 for a week long Yoga and Surf retreat at Encantada Ocean Cottages in Costa Rica. Soak up the pristine beaches and uncrowded surf of Esterillos Este, enjoy energizing and therapeutic daily yoga classes in the private yoga shala and delicious locally sourced food. At Encantada everything is at your fingertips. You can keep busy all day long riding the waves or take time to truly relax, unwind, and recharge. Jenna and Nina will offer two yoga classes per day (vinyasa, restorative, and workshop style) The rest of the time is up to you to surf, explore, sun bathe by the pool, ride horses, rest, and make unforgettable memories.
About Your Retreat Leaders:
Nina and Jenna met where else, but a yoga studio in San Diego. They became fast friends sharing interests in yoga, travel, the ocean, and connecting within their local community. Jenna is a highly regarded San Diego based E-RYT 200 hour teacher and Nina, a certified E-RYT 500 hour SmartFLOW yoga teacher sharing her passion for yoga in San Diego, Boston, and Cape Cod yoga communities. Both Nina and Jenna's teachings offer skillful alignment, intelligent sequencing, and steady attention to the breath creating an environment of inquiry, integrity, and playfulness in their classes. Their hope is to offer challenging yet compassionate space for their students to curiously explore their practice enabling a sense of mindfulness, awareness, joy, kindness, and acceptance both on and off their mats. They are passionate about building an adventurous and fun yoga community to travel to new exciting parts of the world. Jenna and Nina will be offering vinyasa, restorative, pranayama, and mindfulness/meditation practices throughout the retreat.

Escape with Nina Petruzzo and Jenna Zabrosky to Lake Atitlan, a magical crater lake located in the heart of Guatemala. This retreat will provide you with the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of life, and explore a remote part of the world that will open your heart and your perspective to what could be.
The trip begins with an overnight stay in the beautiful, colonial city of Antigua, where the group will assemble, and your first taste of life in Guatemala will be enjoyed. We will then make our way to Isla Verde, a unique and beautiful lakefront retreat center with a laid back vibe.
Our days will include daily (and always optional) Yoga classes with Nina & Jenna, delicious locally sourced meals, as well as plenty of time for relaxation, rejuvenation and reflection amongst the energetic vortex that is Lake Atitlan.
Outdoor lovers will have the opportunity to partake in many adventurous activities throughout our week including kayaking, hiking, and stand up paddle boarding. We will also have plenty of opportunity to experience the ancient Mayan culture of Lake Atitlan, and give back by volunteering at a local preschool. Boat rides are readily available to visit neighboring villages where you can take in some amazing people watching, local foods, markets, and some of the best textile and arts shopping in Central America.

Passport & Immunization Requirements
You must have a valid passport to travel to Guatemala. Please check your passport expiration date and make sure it is valid for at least 6 months after the end date of your retreat.
A Visa is not required for US Citizens visiting Guatemala, unless you're staying in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador for more than 90 days.
No immunizations are required for visiting Guatemala, however, the CDC recommends you're up to date on your Hepatitis A and Typhoid shots. See more info here.
